Happy holidays, Occu! 2021 has finally come and go! What a roller coaster year it was, wouldn't you agree? The year began with a hopeful uptick in travel and then Thailand went partial lockdown for 3 months before I was able to get out. I went on my first international trip in 2 years to the UAE, went to Expo 2020 Dubai event, flew to Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda in East Africa (rest assured, complete travel guides are coming), climbed Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in the continent, and now, Omicron. What a year! I would even say, it was crazier than 2020! Nonetheless, the holidays are around the corner and nothing can take away the joy of Christmas and New Year celebrations, not even Omicron. So I wish you an early Merry Christmas and a happy new year! I hope 2022 will be a year full of adventure and excitement for you and let's hope we all as a human race can finally move on with COVID and start living our lives to the fullest again. I'll be spending the rest of my time this year celebrating Christmas and New Year in Dubai, enjoying a little downtime after being in Africa for 2 months.
