Why Did I Spend 5 Months in Dubai? Here's Why.

Hey, Occu! I gotta admit, I never thought much of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates as a travel destination. I was always attracted to places with a rich history and stunning natures rather than cities and extravagance, which Dubai and the UAE are known for. But things do change and when the world was hit with the pandemic, so is my perception of the country. The UAE is one of the few countries that remained open to tourists during COVID and what was even more amazing was the fact that they were organizing the world's expo event, Expo 2020 Dubai, which gave me more than enough of a reason to visit the UAE. One thing led to another and 5 months on and I still have yet to see them all. Despite that, I decided to create this travel video that compiles all the experiences I had in the UAE including visiting the Expo 2020 Dubai, experiencing Dubai during a New Year celebration, and visiting other less-traveled places in the UAE as well like Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, Hatta, and Jebel Jais Without further ado, here's a culmination of my favorite experiences in Dubai and other Emirates all compressed into a fun 4 minutes video. We have a couple openings on BMTM Adventures!

Hey fam,

I hope this finds you having some wonderful beginnings to 2022!

I'm reaching out in case any of our female readers have been dreaming of some adventures this year. We've had an opening on our Patagonia trip, this March 15-27, in the crown jewel of Patagonia, Torres del Paine National Park. Join a group of amazing women hiking together for 8 days through what is easily the most beautiful part of Chilean Patagonia.

That's not all! Visit with penguins, horseback ride, and spend 2 days in luxury in the park after the hiking finishes. We've had one spot open up! If you're interested, reply to this email and I'll tell you how to nab it. Read more about the itinerary here.

We also have a couple of open spots on the women's Maldives trip this April! No partner? No honeymoon? No need to wait! Experience it with a group of dynamic women! Each guest gets her own room, too! We're swimming with whale sharks and Manta rays in one of the most biodiverse parts of the Maldives, hanging with locals and finishing in a beautiful resort. If you're a diver, you can join our shark dive add-on in one of the best places in the world to dive with sharks! Read more about the itinerary and apply here.

These are the only two BMTM Adventures trips this year, in addition to the Humpback whale swim trip, which we'll announce signups for soon!

Just an FYI, these trips are both led by my guide partners, as I've had a change in my medical needs and am not able to attend these trips this year! But you'll be in amazingly good hands. Any questions, you can always reply to this email.

Hugs,

Kristin

Where to?

Not sure where you want to go next?

We'll describe a trip, but WON'T tell you where it is. If the description sounds up your alley, just click on the photo to see which trip you should take!

Here we gooooooo:

2. Rugged Wilderness

If hiking and camping off-grid in the pristine back county sounds like your cup of tea, you should check out this 7-day trip.

This is the most rugged adventure that we offer! You'll spend most of your time away from tourists and large cities as you take in your beautiful surroundings by foot.

You can also take advantage of the almost 20 hours of daylight this location receives in the summer! Grab your boots and let's get hiking!

California Dreamin'

Spring is a fantastic time to explore the California coast!

Having grown up in Southern California, I'm definitely biased, but I truly think it's one of the best states for a road trip because there are so many things to see and do. From beaches to National Parks to cities and small coastal towns — take your pick!

And, if you've had the Carlsbad Flower Fields on your bucket list, now is the time to start planning your trip! The fields open up on March 1st and you can see the gorgeous blooms until Mother's Day (May 8th).

Check out my Tips for Visiting the Carlsbad Flower Fields here!

In the meantime, here are some helpful guides I've put together to help you plan your California adventure:

The Ultimate One-Week San Diego Itinerary

The Ultimate Four-Day Los Angeles Itinerary

3-Day Guide to the Central Coast of California

Itinerary for Two-Weeks in California

10-Day California Coast Road Trip Itinerary

The Ultimate Guide to Santa Barbara in a Weekend

Road Trip Itinerary for 2 Weeks in California

On that note, I just spent the weekend in San Francisco with my nieces and I didn't realize how kid-friendly the city is!

I'll share a guide soon, but the girls (ages 15 and 7) had an absolute blast. From seeing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to visiting the Exploratorium — we covered so much ground in just 2 days!

If you have any tips for visiting San Francisco with kids, feel free to email them through!
