This is Halloween, This is Halloween!

We're hosting a little Halloween carnival at our house this weekend for some friends and neighborhood kids!

And we'll be at home the night of Halloween (we sort of set ourselves up to deliver a big trick-or-treat night with all of our Halloween decorations). Though it's a lot of work, it's so fun and worth it to see the kids' reactions to everything. Plus, it's Meyer's first year getting to have trick-or-treaters!

We are doing the same socially distanced candy setup as last year, with bags of candy hanging on a string along our fence. But, I feel like there will be more kids out this year! So we'll be hanging out and saying "boo" to everything.

I'll be posting this year's Halloween costumes on Sunday — so stay tuned! Any guess as to what we're going as this year?

We're going to give 'em pumpkin to talk about. ;)

Hello, Long Beach!

We're in Long Beach exploring all the city has to offer! While I grew up in Southern California, I haven't spent much time in Long Beach, so I'm thrilled to see and explore LBC!

Bailey is with us, so I'll be working on a guide of all sorts of dog-friendly things to see and do. From cute places to eat to a beach area specifically for dogs to a *pawsitively* perfect htel — it's going to be a fantastic getaway.

Want to plan a trip with your four-legged friend? Here are some of the best pet-friendly Airbnbs in California!

I've said it once and I'll say it again, October is one of the best months to visit Southern California. We've had some up and down weather, but it's back in the high 70s/low 80s, and it's pretty darn spectacular.

So...whether you're planning out your 2022 calendar OR you want to sneak in a quick trip, I'd highly recommend a California getaway right about now.

I've got a ton of guides for California, including a 3-day California coast road trip itinerary or a 10-day road trip, along with one week in San Diego itinerary, 4 days in Los Angeles itinerary...and many other gems for California!

Any places you're currently dreaming about or locations on your radar that you'd like guides for?

I'm beginning to dream up my own trips for 2022, so I'd love to know what you're interested in!

What Did Your September Look Like?

Ours was spent adventuring through 5 different countries!
image

September Rewind

Last month was busy! Not only did we launch four new itineraries, we also hosted ten trips in five different countries!

Here's a glimpse of what international adventures we got up to:

image

IRELAND

After a very long 18-month hiatus, we finally returned to the beautiful country of Ireland. We got in our fair share of hikes, while also taking in the beautiful scenery and castles.

image

COSTA RICA EXTENDED

Nine days in Costa Rica embracing the Pura Vida way of life! We surfed, whitewater rafted, rappelled down waterfalls, hiked, and saw tons of cute animals.

image

MACHU PICCHU & PERU

Visiting the ancient site of Machu Picchu was only one highlight of this trip! We also explored Cusco and visited a small local community who shared their customs with us..we even got to pitch in with some daily tasks like potato harvesting!

image

INCA TRAIL HIKE

Magic is the only way to describe hiking the Inca Trail. Our travelers were absolute rockstars and hiked four days along the Inca Trail, before reaching their final destination of Machu Picchu as the sun rose over the ancient site.

image

GREECE

Oh Greece, you never disappoint! From exploring ancient Athens, to island hopping, to enjoying a glass of wine on patios, this trip was what dreams are made of.

...and did we mention the sunsets?!

image

ICELAND

Did someone say waterfalls? One of our favorite parts of Iceland is that there are waterfalls around every turn! Our travelers visited several of these majesties, as well as visited the Black Sand Beach, looked for Northern Lights, and even hiked on a glacier!

Community Meetups

We've got two fun meetups going down this weekend!

This Saturday (10/23), come join us in San Diego for a brewery crawl or in New York City for Oktoberfest and meet likeminded individuals who love travel.

Good News From Around the World

Thailand has announced that if plans to open it's borders to vaccinated travelers from select countries, including the US, on November 1st!

We're keeping an eye on it and playing it safe, but it looks like we'll finally be returning to the Land of Smiles next February!
