FAQ: Traveling to Egypt during Ramadan Traveling to Egypt during this Muslim holiday can be a wonderful cultural experience, but there are a few things to know... During Ramadan, establishments close earlier in the afternoon to allow people to go home and pray. Then, everything opens back up at sundown and people happily break their fast. Please note that it may be more difficult to find alcohol and nightlife in an Islamic country during Ramadan. Ramadan does not begin until the last three days of the March 2023 trip. For the April 2023 trip, Ramadan ends on Day 7, where you'll get to see people celebrating the joyous Eid al-Fitr holiday. | |
