Hey ,
I've been thinking a lot lately about where this all started back in 2012 — scribbling blog posts in Southeast Asia, uploading photos from sticky hostel lobbies, chasing the next wild adventure. And how far it's all come since then.
Back then, I could only dream that this little blog would grow into something that supported a team, led tours around the world, and became my full-time job. I didn't know I'd someday be doing this with a toddler in tow.
And yet, here we are.
So much has changed.
The internet I built my business on has shifted in ways I never saw coming — and this year, it really hit. A Google update wiped out a huge chunk of blogs overnight. AI answers started showing up in search, and now… people don't even need to click anymore.
I survived the first wave, but the truth is, it's harder than it used to be. The game keeps changing. And if I'm being really honest, I'm tired. Tired of launching, tired of chasing the next algorithm, tired of always rebuilding.
But I'm still here.
And maybe you've been here from the beginning. Maybe you've only just found me. But either way, if you've ever built something from nothing, or watched your world shift in a way you didn't expect, I think this post might resonate (and I've turned off the ads on this one for the week so you can read it like you used to - uninterrupted).

Thanks for being here — for real. This one's from the heart.

Kristin
