With Easter and summer crowds approaching, timing is everything.

A last-minute booking for late March is the ideal time to see Rome looking sparkling before the Easter onslaught.

If you're coming from outside Europe, September through October is a great time to visit, but you should consider booking now.

Expedia currently have some excellent last-minute deals with flights and 5 nights' accommodation starting from around £400 per person from the UK, and $900 per person from the USA.

We strongly suggest booking the Vatican Museum and the Borghese Gallery as early as possible as they can both book out quickly.

Why Book Now?

As peak season ends, rare discounts are appearing for the Maldives.

This one is perfect if you're looking for a luxury experience at a great price.

Etihad Holidays has fantastic deals, with big discounts on some of their exclusive properties.

If you're willing to travel May / June, you'll find even better deals.

3. JAPAN

Why Book Now?

Japan's cherry blossom season is in full swing, and it can be crazy busy.

However, the Fall Foliage Season is a quieter time to visit with equally stunning landscapes.

The best time is early to mid-November when the colours in Tokyo and Kyoto are most striking.

Now is an excellent time to book as the weak Japanese Yen makes this traditionally pricey destination unexpectedly affordable.

Book accommodation and flights together through Expedia for savings of up to $1,000 from the US or £370 from the UK.
