I'm writing this as I hit publish on our first BRAND NEW itinerary since 2018.
We're going back to Africa, and I cannot think of a more bucket-list trip than this:
🦍 Trek to Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda (only 100 permits issued per day!)
🦒 Stay at Giraffe Manor,
🐘 Go on safari in Kenya's Maasai Mara which has all of the big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and cape buffalo), and is known for its high concentration of big cats.
This is a boutique, luxury experience kept to just 12 guests staying in some of the best lodges available in the Maasai Mara, the famous Virunga Lodge in Rwanda (which offers fireside chats with world-renowned gorilla experts nightly, and complimentary spa treatments and massages to all guests), and Giraffe Manor, where giraffes join you for breakfast and high tea in a gorgeous 1930s home.
We'll also visit the Sheldrick elephant orphanage where we'll witness a baby elephant feeding!
We've also cut out the long drives often associated with a safari trip, flying for our most major distances.
All accommodations ($1000-$1700 value per night), Giraffe Manor ($1600+ per person), gorilla trekking permits ($1500) and Maasai Mara permits ($800) are included in the trip price.
