Occupy V: The Best Methods for Racking up Miles

Finding a credit card that allows you to rack up points quickly is kind of the name of the game (for me, at least).

Building up points and flying premium classes is almost like a sport to me. I will put in the time, the effort, and the work to play it like a chess game. I recently asked on my Instagram stories if you guys would be interested in knowing more about travel hacking and got a resounding yes, so today I'm sharing which cards I've found offer the best benefit:

This card offers 5x points for flights booked directly with an airline (I would always advocate booking directly! If there are any issues, the airline won't help you out unless you've booked directly. Otherwise they'll refer you to the booking agent). It has a high annual fee but a bunch of perks that can easily offset it, like $200 towards hotel bookings, free Walmart+, and airport lounge access.
This card offers 2x points for every dollar spent in any category, plus 10X points on hotels when booked through their portal. Imagine what a weeklong honeymoon in the Maldives could rack up.
If you're loyal to any particular hotel chain, or would consider it, this card got us a free upgrade to a family suite at the high end Intercontinental Singapore thanks to the automatic status, plus 4 free nights. I'm also using the bonus from this card to stay at an ultra fancy hotel on the California coast next year that normally costs $2k per night.
