Hey
I've got a travel hack to share today that I can't believe I only just discovered.
I'm writing you from home in Nevada, where winter is in full swing. Speaking of winter, we're doing a little family getaway in November and I found a travel loophole I wish I'd known about before.
Maybe you already know about booking on the country website of your departure destination (if not your home country) in the local language and currency as a way of getting better flight deals, and maybe you already look at multiple hotel websites to book hotel rooms, but I only just figured this one out for vacation rentals.
Did you know that Airbnbs are often on VRBO as well and they're cheaper? I find VRBO a bit clunky to use, and they never have as many reviews, but for our upcoming trip to Arizona, I did my research on Airbnb and ended up finding the same place on VRBO and booked through there for $250 less!
It wasn't just that place that was cheaper. I found several others that were as well.
VRBO is also partnered with a few major travel credit cards that are offering cash back, so I got 3% back as well for a total of $300 off. Check your credit card offers if you have a travel credit card to see what's available to you.
This isn't sponsored, by the way. It's just something I figured out last night and had to share.
While we're on the topic of booking travel, I have a little update on this year's women's Africa trip - half the spots are booked! Jump in if you want to join us this summer!
Read the Itinerary and Join Here!
If you're hoping to swim with Humpback whales next year in French Polynesia, we'll be opening up spots for that soon! It'll be all coed, so you're welcome to bring family, friends, and partners along too.
If you have any questions, you're always welcome to reply to this email.
Thanks for reading. See you soon!
Hugs,
Kristin
