Hey
It's been a while since my last solo trip. Parenthood will do that to you!
But I kicked it back off with a bang taking my trusty old pickup truck (Bruce) into Black Rock Desert last week to one of few dark sky sanctuaries in the world. The area is known as Massacre Rim and it's one of the darkest places on Earth, far from any civilization and accessible down hours of dirt and gravel roads.
It's the kind of place that's so eerily quiet, you wonder what's out there (coyotes and snakes for sure, but what else?). There's no cell reception and nobody else for miles. Here's where I camped:
There were some nail biting moments but it was all worth it for those incredible stars.
I recorded the whole thing and the feedback has been great. It's only 15 minutes long but I've been told it felt like watching a movie. I know you're going to love it. Check it out here.
