Hey fam,
It's been a crazy, beautiful past few weeks. I'm happy to share that I finally gave birth, a week late but really, right on time for us. Three weeks ago, we welcomed my little Felix to the world.
After so many years of fast-paced travel and getting lost in self exploration and beautiful, utter selfishness (that I'm so glad I got to have and think everyone should experience through solo travel), motherhood has been a completely different exercise in full dedication to another. Life's been quiet, mostly just taking place in my home, and I'm just fine with it. I'd been really looking forward to it.
Although for now he still feels like a part of me -- for both of us -- and it'll be interesting to see how that changes and evolves as he becomes who he's meant to be. I'm excited for what's to come, and have been soaking up the early cuddles so far.
I've shared the birth story on my blog, and have been keeping most of my updates to Instagram stories as it's an easy thing for me to do here and there.
But I also wanted to share the story here with you. I've got some travel reads as well that I know you'll love (more on that below).
Special announcement: We've got 2 spaces left on our final BMTM Adventures women's tour of 2022, swimming with Humpback whales from September 18-25 in French Polynesia! I will not personally be on this trip as I'll have a newborn, but you'll be with an amazing group of fellow female adventurers! Learn more and apply here.
Also popular lately on the blog, where to travel based on your Myers Briggs personality type, 10 things I've learned from 10 years as a female entrepreneur, and 23 of the best places to visit in September in the USA.
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead!
Hugs,
Kristin
