From the U30X Co-Founders:
Hey Under30Experiences, we can't believe it... this month our travel community turns ten years old!
Our very first trip ran in Iceland Memorial Day Weekend 2012 and ten years after that magical adventure, we're proud to say, we're still staying at Smáratún Eco-Farm, and Addi is still guiding many of our trips.
Since our maiden voyage, we've operated trips in the United States, Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Belize, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, Ireland, Scotland, England, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Morocco, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and New Zealand… and will soon operate our first trips in Croatia, Jordan, and Argentina!
It's hard to believe that we've led nearly 10,000 travelers on life-changing experiences around the world and have collected almost 1,000 Five Star Reviews.
We've had community meetups in most large to mid-size cities in the United States from New York, Chicago, and Los Angles to Charleston, Raleigh Durham, and Seattle. Our community members can stop into any US city with an international airport and make a friend who's also part of the U30X community. The number of lifelong friendships that have formed on Under30 trips is truly remarkable.
Speaking of trusted friends, we have to give a shout-out to our incredible team of local guides who are single-handedly responsible for showing our travelers the time of their lives. We know the pandemic made the last two years extremely difficult, but we're so glad so many of you are back doing a job you love.
And of course, we couldn't have made it through these ten years without the unsung heroes--our office staff--who manages logistics for hundreds of trips each year, and answers travel questions for thousands of first-time travelers. It is their dedication that led us to two consecutive years on the Inc. 5000 list of Fastest Growing Private Companies in America.
Even when our community isn't traveling with us, we're proud to share that over the last ten years our blog has received 2.2 million unique views, our podcast received over 250,000 downloads, and The Millennial Travel Guidebook debuted as an Amazon #1 bestseller.
Finally, and most importantly, we're overjoyed by the difference that our travelers' money has made in so many humble communities around the world. Having sustainability projects in rural areas that don't normally have access to high-paying opportunities, truly does make a quantifiable difference in these off-the-beaten-path destinations.
These ten years have been anything but easy, but they've been a heck of a lot of fun! We're more motivated than ever to make a positive impact on our community members, the places we travel, and this incredible planet.
Thank you so much for all your support and for being part of the Under30Experiences family!
Pura vida,
Matt & Jared
