Tips from past travelers to future travelers...
Hindsight is 20/20 We polled our alumni and asked them what they wished they knew before traveling with Under30Experiences.
There were a few repeat answers that may help if you're looking to book your first trip with U30X. Here's some tips they had to share:

1. You don't need travel experience Really! We've had travelers who have never left the country, and some who have never left their home state. We have a team of travel professionals who can answer any questions you may have before, during, and even after your trip. We also include as much info as possible on our website to make the process of first-time travel even easier.
2. No need to be fluent in the local language You can put down the Duolingo and Google Translate because you'll have a Trip Leader with you who is fluent in English and the local language of where you are visiting! Want to try your hand at the local language? Ask your Trip Leader to have a conversation with you in the local language. They can even teach you a slang word or two to have you sounding like a local in no time.
3. Be open to trying new things This is, by far, the most popular piece of advice that our alumni could give. Whether that means tasting a new dish, trying an activity that you have never tried before, or meeting new people. If you come in with an open mind, you're experience on your first trip will be infinitely better!
4. You don't need to know anyone Did you know that 70% of our travelers come solo? Part of the fun of group travel is meeting other like-minded individuals. At the very least, you'll meet some adventure buddies for the trip. And who knows, you might become life long friends and plan your own meetups, invite each other to your weddings, or even find someone to marry your self (it's happened!).
5. Being nervous is normal You would not believe the number of times we have heard someone say this before their first trip. It's okay to be nervous! You're about to embark on an awesome, but semi-unknown, adventure and you aren't sure what to expect. We can guarantee that you aren't the only one feeling this way. The good news is that your nerves will ease up once you arrive and meet up with your Trip Leader and group.
Community Events Our NYC community is hosting a game night on March 25th! Come play some games, eat some pizza, and meet other travelers in the area.
