Today is a packing day! We are heading back to Thailand... soon! Not tomorrow, but next week. Although, we'll be traveling this week. We'll be driving and traveling to Serbia, and Czech Republic because we'll fly out from Prague.

Save your pennies... One of the most popular reasons that people don't travel is due to high prices...or, should we say, the perceived high prices of travel. Sure, if you go the ultra-luxe route, it will cost you a pretty penny. But, there are other ways to still travel and not burn a hole in your wallet. Here are three great ways to make your next trip more affordable:

1. Master Frequent Flyer Miles This is by far the easiest and fastest way to book a flight to your dream destination for free, only paying the taxes on the ticket. All major airlines have frequent flyer programs with multiple ways to rack up points quickly - the main one being thru credit card offers, which often come with huge miles bonuses (typically enough for one round-trip domestic ticket, and often enough for an international flight). Earning free flights will cut a major portion of your budget!

2. Use Budget Airlines All around the world, regional discount airlines offer some of the most amazing deals. By knowing who they are, subscribing to their e-bulletins, and keeping up with their sales, you can often find flights where the only thing you have to pay for is the airport taxes. RyanAir is famous for this in Europe, with flights as low as 5 EURO!

3. Try Home and Hospitality Exchanges Often overlooked by most travelers, exchanging homes or guest hospitality is one of the easiest, and most interesting, ways to get completely free accommodations. If you use tip 1 to save on flights and this tip to save on accommodations, you've just saved yourself so much money!!!
