Puglia this Spring Bread and cheese. Di Gesú and Dicecca. Hilltown and Adriatic cove. Rivers of wine and mountains of mozzarella. Bari, Matera, Altamura, Martina Franca: Roads & Kingdoms is headed to Puglia. More than just the breadbasket of Italy, Puglia is the farming stronghold that nourishes Italy, the laid-back and lovely home of bread, cheese, seafood, wine. Our League of Travelers journey, from May 6-13, 2023, will vividly celebrate the finest products that the heel of the boot produces: outstanding seafood crudo of Italy's longest mainland coast, famous pasta, burrata masters. We'll be based in a gorgeous masseria—a Puglian villa—that will be all our own, branching out for pilgrimages to the birthplace of the region's distinctive salumi and cheese, and raising many glasses with some of Italy's most innovative winemakers. If you haven't yet heard about our distinctive travel style, imagine a week among a small group of friends who just happen to know where all the most delicious things are, who are steeped in the deep lore of the food culture, who have assembled a constant stream of the best people to cook and drink with in the region. That is what the League of Travelers is, and Puglia is a perfect stage for the experience. Group size is small, 10-12 people maximum. Co-hosts are R&K's Nathan Thornburgh, editor of Pasta Pane Vino: Deep Travels through Italy's Food Culture and Eugenio Signoroni, named Italy's food writer of the year by Identità Golose. Prices start at $9500, all inclusive once you land in Bari until the week comes to an end, and we have only a few rooms left.
