Those are very real fears and things that can cause a lot of anxiety.
If there is one piece of advice that I can give, is that you can overcome these worries, and the fears that you obsess about before you travel will drift away once you arrive at your destination.
You're there and you've got to figure it out — whether that's finding which train to take or how to communicate with a language barrier.
While I wouldn't say it's always easy, traveling solo is SO WORTH IT.
I firmly believe that solo travel is one of the best ways to learn about yourself and the world. Taking a solo trip is a fantastic way to grow. And when it comes to solo travel destinations, the options are endless!
There are few things as liberating and exciting as traveling alone.
Traveling solo changed my life and is the single greatest gift I've ever given myself. Rather than making up excuses not to travel by waiting around for someone to join you, I highly encourage you to book that trip and go.
It doesn't have to be far either — you don't have to go internationally or to a place that speaks another language (you totally can, if you want!), but if you want to get your feet wet, taking a weekend trip domestically by yourself might just be what you need.
Being able to do what you like when you like is something that is often underrated. When it comes to solo travel, you can choose whether you want to sleep in, fill your day with activities, or treat yourself to a day of getting lost in a beautiful city.
