I'm Back From My Southern Road Trip!

I just returned from my Southern road trip! I experienced (and ate) a lot in my short time there. ;)

I've already outlined foodie guides and travel guides for both Savannah and Charleston — I'll share the links once they're live. Stay tuned for that!

I've spent the past decade exploring much of the world, however, I haven't really traveled much of the USA. I realized there is SO much more that I haven't seen or experienced and I'm definitely adding more US trips to my bucket list!

I mentioned that I went solo on this trip, and it's been a while since I've traveled on my own. It was a fantastic reminder that it's important to take time for ourselves.

What I love so much about traveling solo is being able to do what I want, when I want.

It's truly an amazing experience.

Have you ever taken yourself out on a date to a fancy meal alone?

I did a poll on my Instagram Stories asking this question and I received thousands of responses. I was quite shocked — more than 50% of people said that they've never dined out alone!

Just some food for thought... ;)

We go through much of our lives going through the motions and don't really question things or why we do or don't do certain things, but I encourage you to travel solo or take yourself out on a nice dinner date. Make a reservation for one at that restaurant you've always wanted to go to!

I think the act of doing something for yourself without waiting for anyone to join you is really powerful, and even if you feel really vulnerable doing something on your own, it's good practice!
